July 2013
Vol. 2

This all started innocently enough with a gift of a "coop", and then the question of "I wonder what would happen if I tried it?" From there you just knew that it was "on". My sister always follows through with her commitments, especially when animals are involved. But as the days went by it went from one coop, to two, and 3 chickens to more than 15 now. Each day that goes by I get progress reports, and I keep up with the ever improving lives of my Sisters' girls.

The real excitement started when the "girls' started to produce and earn their keep earlier this year. They began to lay, and lay, and lay eggs. So much so, that my sister now has a long list of faithful customers on a waiting list at work. She was laughing the other day when we were discussing the latest on her progress at the farm, and when I asked her what was so funny she replied, "The demand is so great Lance, I may be able to just quit my day job and retire on their work." Of course I knew she was just kidding, but it brings me back to the point of this story. Raising Chickens, both in rural areas, and in the city, has exploded throughout America, it brings out the true feelings of freedom and self sufficiency. The pride of those who "raise Chickens" is undeniably abundant, and their sense of accomplishment? "PRICELESS"!!!!

In a world of "self help" programs designed to help your mind through positive thinking, your body through better nutrition, the "Raising Chickens" phenonomen is the perfect program for the "SOUL". It may not be on the New York Times best seller list, but mark my words, before you know it, I guarantee it will be coming to your neighborhood soon.

In fact, here in Nebraska recently, the city of Wayne recognized the power of the Egg, by holding it's annual "Chicken Day". The mayor of Wayne reported that it continues to grow each year and people are now coming from all over America to celebrate what Chickens truly mean to them each day. In my sister connies case, and in mine as well, you can say..."The power of the Egg" is undeniable in changing our lives for the better, and now I've come to find out...in thousands more families all over this great world of ours...
